ArtsQuest Announces Dates for Musikfest, Concerts and Other 2022 Events | Regional News from Lehigh Valley

BETHLEHEM, PA – ArtsQuest has announced dates for Musikfest, Oktoberfest and other arts, culture and education events scheduled for 2022.

ArtsQuest’s flagship festival, Musikfest, will be back August 5-14. This year’s festival, back in its 39th year, will feature hundreds of free performances across Bethlehem. The 2022 poster, by renowned contemporary artist Bart Cooper, has already been unveiled. Tickets are on sale now for headliners Kelsea Ballerini and ALABAMA performing on the Wind Creek Steel Stage. Artists and additional details will be announced throughout the year.

Outdoor concerts are also making a comeback at SteelStacks. The Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks Summer Concert Series presented by Coordinated Health, now part of the Lehigh Valley Health Network, will take place on the weekends from May 20 to September 10. In addition, this summer, ReggaeFest is scheduled for Saturday. July 2nd.

A redesigned Kentucky Derby Watch Party will take place on Saturday, May 7. This summer, Juneteenth will return to the SteelStacks campus for a full day of community events on Saturday June 18th.

Sabor! The Latin Festival will also be back for three days from June 24-26.

ArtsQuest also organizes events for foodies. It offers a full plate of events, including a new TacoFest, scheduled for Sunday July 10. A dinner and show will be presented at Palette & Pour, the new full-service bar and quick-service kitchen located on the first floor of the ArtsQuest Center. People can order food and drink while watching a movie at Frank Banko Alehouse cinemas. People can start planning a brunch, featuring the chef’s new creations, in honor of Easter on Sunday April 17 or Mother’s Day on Sunday May 8.

People will have the opportunity to appreciate the arts at the Glass and Art Auction, a gala featuring demos and artwork, on Friday, April 22. A family celebration of the arts during the revamped Banana Factory Block Party, formerly known as the SouthSide Arts and Music Festival will be held on May 6-7.

The 9th Annual SteelStacks Improv Comedy Festival returns in person on Saturday, January 29. Applications are now being accepted for the Greater Lehigh Valley Filmmaker Festival which will return in person on Saturday April 9th. InVision, a month-long celebration of all things photography, will also be back in November.

Patriotic events, presented by Embassy Bank, are scheduled for Memorial Day May 28-30, Flag Day Saturday June 11, July 4, Patriot Day Sunday September 11, and Veterans Day on Fri, Nov 11.

After a record breaking event in 2021, Oktoberfest, presented by Lehigh Valley International Airport, will return from September 30 to October 30. October 2 and 7-9. The 12th annual festival will feature beer samples, live music, local artisans, and popular activities such as the Dachshund Dog Parade and the Pennsylvania Steinholding Championship.
