Beach resorts to deliver spectacular Independence Day celebrations

The 4th of July this year should be the best holiday weekend to travel with almost half (46%) of summer travelers planning to go on holiday on Independence Day, according to Vacasa 2022 Summer Travel Trends Report. Vacasa research data also revealed the following destinations as the most popular locations for 2022: Bethany Beach, DE; Alabama Gulf Coast, AL; Outer Banks, North Carolina; Cape Cod, MA; Oregon Coast, OR.

In order to impress their guests, hotels and resorts across the country are planning spectacular fireworks displays ranging from a “Free as a Bird” experience to a “Big Bay Boom”.

Mohonk Mountain HouseNew Paltz, New York

With its picturesque setting in the Hudson Valley and situated on a private glacial lake with views of the Catskill Mountains, this Victorian castle resort offers a one-of-a-kind mountain retreat for a 4th of July celebration. With activities like tomahawk throwing, family archery, a guided boulder run, magician performances and more, families are sure to be thrilled. All guests are invited to participate in the resort parade with The Riverboat Hudson Seven Band, also joined by costumed employees and the Mohonk fire truck. Doors open at 3 p.m. with the concert at 4 p.m. and fireworks at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 or $30 at the door.
