Washburn, WI- The Stagenorth Groundlings have announced the return of live theater to Chequamegon Bay! The non-profit performing arts group will perform their portrayal of The Lion in Winter, a story that takes place around Christmas in 1183. Watch the actors take you to the castle of King Henry II in 12th-century England on a battle for the throne within the king family. Duluth, Minnesota- Continuing the theme of live theater, UMD’s Marshall Performing Arts Center will host the world premiere of “Maxa”. This brand new horror musical tells the story of Paula Maxa, a famous French actress who has played her reputation of being killed thousands of times on stage. The production will be presented on Thursday October 14th at 7:30 pm For those who are deaf or hard of hearing, there will be a morning performance in ASL on October 17th. A warning to potential members of the public: The play contains graphic representations.

Hibbing, MN- The Hibbing community is preparing for a historic celebration in honor of a Northland legend. Hibbing High School will unveil its tribute to world renowned artist and Nobel Prize winner Bob Dylan. The special day will include the unveiling ceremony, a tour of Hibbing High School and a free community concert featuring four talented local artists.
