Final Fantasy 14 players are coming together for a huge in-game festival later this week.
This festival would be LunarCon (opens in a new tab)an event run entirely by Final Fantasy 14 players. This year the festivities return, as the convention kicks off later this week on Friday, July 29 and continues the following weekend until Sunday, July 31.
The LunarCon schedule has now been updated with panels to include! 🗓️Additionally, we’ve updated our website to include locations around Eorzea where LunarCon is taking place 🗺️Last but not least, the LunarCon Auction is back!July 25, 2022
If you thought it was just a simple game between players, you would be very wrong. Heading to the official LunarCon website, you’ll find a full program for the three days of the festival, including the opening and closing ceremonies, live performances from the game’s bands, special guest players, and even the competitions.
For example, Friday’s kickoff is a live performance by Bard-focused musical group The Songbirds, a discussion of what it’s like to find fish in Final Fantasy 14, and a discussion of how to make people cry. the people. Adorable stuff. There’s even a Crystalline Conflict tournament on the second day of LunarCon, which is quite an impressive feat considering the relatively recent launch of the new PvP activity in Final Fantasy 14.
If you can’t jump to Final Fantasy 14 this weekend for the convention, you can watch the festivities live on the LunarCon Twitch channel. (opens in a new tab) If you’re near a PC or PlayStation this weekend, it looks like LunarCon will be worth traveling between worlds to experience for yourself.
This in-game activity has been a hit with fans, unlike the recent real world final fantasy 14 billboardwhich was pulled after a backlash from fans and players earlier this month.
