JK-47, KYE, Heather Shannon and More Announced for Phoenix Central Park’s Third Season Schedule
Sydney’s performing arts space Phoenix Central Park has announced its third season of music programming, which will feature a series of free performances in February and March this year.
The series will debut on February 3 with rapper Bundjalung JK-47. Over the next two months, the venue – located in Chippendale – will host the likes of neo-soul artist KYE, rap crew 1300, Newcastle songwriter e4444e (in full band mode) and many others.
Other notable acts include Jezabels keyboardist Heather Shannon, who will perform her solo piano album “Midnight Sun”, and the first live performance of Goddess911 – the new project from Cloud Control’s Alister James Wright and the band’s Sam Lockwood. Jezebels.
Elsewhere on the bill, 3 pianos (Adrian Lim-Klumpes of Tangents, Chris Abrahams of The Necks and Novak Manojlovic of Hekka), violinist Eric Avery, harpist Alice Giles and a string quartet made up of musicians from the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

“We have programmed ten acts that each connect to distinct audiences and will bring a whole new group of people through our doors at each performance. It’s on purpose,” creative director Beau Neilson said in a statement.
“Not only do we intend to give our audience something to look forward to in difficult times, but we also believe being resolute is essential in our mission to support artists and provide a strong platform. and beautiful for the presentation of their work.”
