The Muppets Band Electric Mayhem Gets Its Own Show

Electric chaos has always been the support group for the Muppets, but now Dr. Teeth, Animal and the rest of the group will finally be front and center. Disney+ has announced a new show titled Muppet Mayhemwhich focuses on the rock band recording their debut album.

Lilly Singh also stars in the series as Nora, a young A&R executive “charged with managing and battling the chaos that is The Electric Mayhem Band,” according to a press release. The plot centers around the band – vocalist-keyboardist Dr. Teeth, drummer Animal, vocalist-bassist Floyd Pepper, vocalist-guitarist Janice, saxophonist Zoot and trumpeter Lips – as they finally set out to recording his first album more than 45 years after debuting on Jim Henson’s 1975 sesame street spin off The puppet show.

With young Nora by their side, viewers can expect a wild ride as veteran rockers attempt to navigate the music industry of the 21st century.

While the band may be oblivious to what’s trending these days, they have at least a Twitter account. “Can you imagine THAT? Get ready for #TheMuppetsMayhem, an all-new original series that is, is, and will now be the star of us – Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem! Rock out with us, and our very groovy homie @Lily Singh, on @DisneyMorebaby,” reads the ad. Check it out below.
